As a designer and illustrator, freelancing for about 15 years, I have been lucky enough to be able to combine my creative passion with my passion of supporting causes that have a positive impact on social issues, the environment and the Arts.
I have been working with sustainable businesses and institutions of various kinds: I’ve worked with community organizations, environmental activists, green businesses, artists, movie makers, museums and social institutions. I have had long-term relationships with creative agencies like Conscious Creative in Berkeley, California, and non-profit organizations like The DO School in Hamburg (now Berlin).
Through the creation of visual identities, logos, websites, business cards, catalogues, brochures, posters and postcards, I’ve helped them to reach out to their customers and clients.
I do what I can as a creative person to have a positive impact on my community.
I am also a passionate illustrator. When I am not designing, you can find me with my fingers full of paint and ink working on some illustrations — be it some new design for Seelüü Tattüü, my customized temporary sailor’s tattoo series, on Metalepsy, a literary collaboration with my husband Allan Dorr, or on other illustrations, some of which you can find printed on paper, shirts, stickers, bags and such on Redbubble.
Born in southern Germany, I studied design in Germany (Kassel) and Spain (Valencia). In 2010, after a six-year long San Francisco adventure, I moved from the Bay Area to the city of water in Germany: Hamburg.
I am a big fan of yoga, nature and the Arts, and enjoy them within a joyfully busy family life while engaging myself in social issues through art and design.
Have a look around. And if you feel like working on a project together, or if you’d just like to say hello, please do so — I always love hearing from you!
